People know Sydney as the harbour city and its
central city area is one of the best places to experience it.
Barangaroo is presently
one of the largest continuous harbour foreshore sites in Sydney,
and certainly by far the largest in the City's CBD. It will be a
new place to enjoy the harbour through its new natural headland
park and a foreshore walk, right
by the water.
In keeping with this theme, the Barangaroo site
is presently open to the public so you can access the foreshore
along the harbour edge. The aim is to maintain the Foreshore Walk
at Barangaroo throughout construction so long as it is possible and
safe.
This initiative will ensure that the Sydney Harbour
Circle Walk is a foreshore walk in as many places as
possible. When the Barangaroo link is completed, people will
be able to enjoy an uninterrupted 14 km foreshore walk from
Woolloomooloo to the Anzac Bridge. The circuit of the Circle Walk
takes in the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour, the ANZAC and
Iron Cove Bridges and Milsons Point.
