Expressions of Interest and Tenders

Sydney is embarking on a world-class waterfront renewal project at Barangaroo, which includes creating a new harbour park for Sydney and returning a dynamic public space to the community after more than 100 years of industrial use.

The transformation will allow Barangaroo to take its natural place amid the other green headlands of western Sydney, including Balls Head, Blues Point and Ballast Point, and complete the final section of a 14-kilometre foreshore walk from Woolloomooloo to Anzac Bridge.

On 7 November 2008, the NSW Government announced a new Barangaroo Delivery Authority to oversee the $2.5 billion redevelopment of Barangaroo. The creation of this new Authority reinforces the Government's commitment to the delivery of Barangaroo in a co-ordinated and financially responsible manner.

The new approach announced for Barangaroo includes:
  • delivery of the headland park from late 2011 as originally planned.
  • suspending the Public Domain Design Expressions of Interest (EOI) process

Details about the announcement are available in the media release.

Further information about the Public Domain Design EOI will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
